Italian Horse Protection will have a stand at Fieracavalli 2011 (3rd – 6th November). We will present our activity as Italy’s only rescue centre for mistreated equines and our many initiatives for the wellbeing of these animals, from the ethologic popularization, to the proposal of new laws, to the reports of abuses.

It will an important occasion for us to confront a world tied to various types of use of the horse, many of them with little respect for the animals, if not downright violent, and to voice the principle a relationship with the equines is plausible only if we have the ability and the willingness to understand their nature. Only then they will be companions and not means for our enjoyment or financial gain.

Our volunteers will wait for you inside pavilion 1, stand B4, to tell you about their daily work at our rescue centre, in contact with horses sequestrated due to mistreatment, and to collect signatures in support of the campaigns NOPALIO, with which we ask for ban the use of equines in the palii, and 8HOURS, with which we ask for a limitation to the transportation of slaughter-bound living animals.
