...my treasures do not sparkle they clink,
they shine in the sun and neigh in the night...

Come and visit us

Our Rescue Centres are always open to the public.
However, free guided tours must be booked a few days in advance.

During your visit, you will experience the extraordinary feeling of being among the free horses and listen to their stories. The visit lasts just over 1 hour, it includes a presentation of the association's activities and the opportunity to interact with the horses of the Centre, as well as demonstrating how they are cared for.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing suitable for countryside walks.

Children are welcome, as are dogs (preferably on a leash or under careful control).

Part of the tour is also accessible to guests with reduced mobility. If needed, the IHP Land Rover is available to reach the paddock more easily.

IMPORTANT NOTES

In line with IHP’s values, the horses in our Rescue Centres do not participate in riding, trekking, trail rides, riding school activities, or similar practices.
They are asked only to be horses: to live in a herd and follow the natural rules of their species.

Interactions with horses take place exclusively from the ground, allowing respectful contact that honours the needs and boundaries of both humans and animals.

Most of the horses are sociable and accustomed to interacting calmly with people, in line with the Centre’s handling care. No special skills are required, except the willingness to approach the horses with patience, respect and the attentive listening they need.

For children, teenagers, and adults alike, spending time with free-roaming horses offers a valuable interdisciplinary learning experience, including:

  • Respect for nature and other living beings.
  • Understanding group behaviour and interactions.
  • Non-verbal communication.
  • Recognising similarities and differences between species.
  • Developing and interacting equally, without pressures, demands or expectations from neither animals nor humans.

SCHOOLS AND SUMMER CAMPS

We welcome school groups and summer camps groups of all ages, both the duration and content of the visit can be customised with teachers or group leaders to meet specific needs.
