Today the Asti ASL (local health authority) which last 10th August sequestrated several animals from “La Collina Degli Animali in Bubbio, in the Asti province, informed us about their health conditions.

“The health conditions of the sequestrated equines – can be read in the note – have markedly improved, thanks also to your contribute in food and to the care and attention given to them by the workers of the estate where they are currently hosted, people who have taken their situation at heart. We don’t have any recent photos under hand but, with the necessary authorizations, we’ll send some as soon as possible.”

The ASL also informed us that the six donkeys, the mule and the grey mare (whose photo had appeared on the newspapers) have already found a new family and that soon the necessary bureaucratic part will be dealt with.

As soon as we’ll have the photos and more information about the adoptions, we’ll post them on our site. We have also offered again our availability to help to find a new home for the other equines.

Our heartfelt ‘thank you’ goes to all the people who sent us a donation, making possible this operation, which was especially difficult given the distances involved and the difficulty to relate with the local authorities.

We’ll quickly post further updates and then, at the end of this tale, we’ll also publish the figures of the money we collected and those of the money we spent.
