Calippo is a beautiful chestnut horse born in 1991 and used for several years for riding and show jumping, until a physical problem made his use impossible. The person who cared for him did her best to guarantee Calippo a peaceful future and she found a home at the Flaminia da Filicaja Foundation (no longer in existence), from which IHP inherited the first horses when it started its activities. For years now, Caippo has become the guide of Stella, the blind mare: the two are inseparable, so much so that in 2018, when Calippo had to face an admission to the clinic for a foot condition (fortunately overcome), Stella stayed with him in the clinic for several weeks before he was discharged. Seeing them together at our Rescue centre warms the heart.
