Calippo is a beautiful sorrel horse. He was born in 1991, and for a long time was used in show jumping. In 2004 a physical problem made it impossible for him to be used in competitions, so the father of the girl who owned Calippo wanted to get rid of him by sending him to slaughter. Luckily the girl went against her father’s wishes and got in touch with us. Calippo was placed in our care. Today he lives in a herd with other horses, and now that he has thrown off the constraints he was under as a “jumper”, he has regained both his physical ability and his trust in humans.
