...my treasures do not sparkle they clink,
they shine in the sun and neigh in the night...

LOREDANA - September 2023

I did a few days of volunteer work at IHP because I wanted to learn how to care for and protect these majestic animals, among the most exploited and abused, in various forms, of all species. I chose to do this at IHP because of their recognised all-round commitment to defending and saving horses, including through complaints and legal action. I chose to work all shifts of the day, just to learn, and I learnt a lot. In the magic of dawn, admiring these wonderful and sensitive creatures, breathing in Nature, I found connection with Mother Earth and strength in my mission as an activist. Sonny, the President, devotes himself body and soul to the project and to each of the horses, all of whom are looked after with great care and dedication. The animals housed at IHP come from various exploitative situations and here they have found a place to live free and protected, until the end of their days. This is truly a reality to defend and support. Thank you so much for being there, thank you for what you do!
