I spent a week volunteering at IHP and I must say that it was a positive experience that went beyond my expectations. It is difficult to summarise in a few lines the depth of all that I took home, but I can say for sure that I learnt what it means to work hard and expend sweat and effort for such an important cause, how valuable the sacrifices made can be, and how one can be satisfied and fulfilled even by carrying out, on a daily basis, tasks that are only apparently simple.

Observing and being in contact with horses, I have deeply understood the value of life, the dignity of preserving and protecting it every day and until the last moment, how much courage there is inside each one of them and how to go beyond difficulties. These wonderful creatures have taught me so much and I am grateful for the sense of peace and awareness they have conveyed.

Finally, I am happy (so happy and profoundly happy!) to know that there are still Beautiful People in the world, men and women who, with such physical and mental strength, put all their efforts into carrying on the Centre and the very important range of activities it runs!

I arrived at IHP unaware of so many aspects of life and came back much richer, serene and aware.
