I spent three weeks at IHP, between December and January. I must admit that the days have really flown by.
IHP is a perfect place if, like me, you have the desire to observe horses in a state of natural management, in a herd and with large spaces available.
There I was lucky enough to learn more about how horses interact with each other. I witnessed the introduction of a new one in a herd, noting the various social dynamics and I had the chance to see four new mares arriving at the Centre.
Sonny kindly took the time for me and the other volunteer for an interesting theoric lesson on the basics of equine behavior and learning.
I would recommend anyone who is passionate about horses to volunteer at IHP. You will have the chance to see happy and peaceful animals and you will learn things not only about horses, but also about yourself.
Thanks to the whole IHP team. Sonny, Ben and Giulia take care of these beautiful animals every day with passion and constancy, keeping a smile and kindness even in the most difficult moments.
Hope to be back soon to help you!
