Urgent update from Colleferro (Rome)
Return to the list
27/01/2013
(2013, January 27th)
Dear friends of the IHP,
As I am sending you these words, an enormous confiscation is in progress in Colleferro (Rome).
The operation is coordinated by the Animal Task Force of the Health Ministry.
The IHP together with Il rifugio degli Asinelli (Italian branch of The Donkey Sanctuary) and ENPA (National Animal Protection Entity) are helping the operation along with the local police.
So far, almost 100 horses have been confiscated,
many of which are in extremely poor conditions.
A foal, just 7 or 8 months old has been found in critical conditions in a mud puddle. He is extremely undernourished and in hypothermic state
. He needs to be taken immediately to a horse hospital.
Both the Prosecutor’s Office and the Minitery of Health are not capable at this point to help financially with the hospital expenses
. Thus IHP and Il Rifugio decided to assume the financial responsibility of it to help save the foal.
We urgently need your help and support!
Please help us save this horse by
donating what you can!
Grazie!
