Success for the “Adopt a Hay Steamer” initiative!
Return to the list
11/03/2012
(11th March 2012)
About three months ago, we launched a special fund-raising collection directed to the purchase of an expensive machine that – by treating the hay with a steam process – allows to clean the hay of all the dust mites and mould, making it the ideal food for horses with breathing problems (
read our 19th November 2011 appeal
).
We didn’t have to wait long for a response
: thanks to the generosity of so many of our supporters, it has been possible to make a purchase that, otherwise, would have impossible for us. Once again, we are so proud to receive such support and encouragement!
Today we own a state-of-the-art machine, thanks to which we will no longer need to proceed to tiring and wasteful “baths” of the hay in the water (which, moreover, don’t solve the problem of possible allergens). It will help us to increase our work efficiency and the quality of the hay given to the asthmatic horses.
A big thank you must also go to T.F. Horse Tech, which manufactures these machines
, and especially to its owner Matteo Cattabriga, who met us midway, thus giving his own contribute to IHP’s cause.
We post here some photos of the hay steamer, and send out heartfelt
THANK YOU
to the people that, by choosing to support us, makes our dedication for the equines stronger.
