they shine in the sun and neigh in the night...

AISPA and IHP: ten years together

21/04/2020

AISPA, the Anglo-Italian Society for the Protection of Animals, and IHP, met for the first time in 2010.
Our association had just been created, with many hopes, very little money, and an already large number of animals to maintain and care for. We were looking for partners to develop our project and we succeeded in coming into contact with the secretary of this historic association, which for decades has carried forward the mission inherited from its founder of raising funds in the UK to support projects in Italy for the protection of animals.

The story of Leonard Hawksley is emblematic: with his courage and initiative, he contributed to creating a culture for the respect and protection of the weakest and most defenceless creatures in Italy (read: AISPA - our history).

We were delighted to learn ten years ago that AISPA decided to support us and that for the first time, thanks to the partnership with IHP, they would be involved in the protection of horses and other equidae.
Since then the partnership has continued with great mutual satisfaction. Every year the visit of the AISPA delegation is an opportunity to give a live demonstration of all the projects we have developed thanks to their help.

To date, AISPA is the only support received from organizations or bodies on any basis: IHP funds itself almost entirely with voluntary contributions from private citizens.
