Let’s free Rocket!
Return to the list
18/01/2011
(2011, January 18th)
IHP-Italian Horse Protection
has started a petition to ask for Rocket’s liberation
. This mare has been kept in a painful isolation for the past few months, always with the risk of being put down—and all because of
an unreasonable interpretation of the current legislation pertaining EIA
. Basically Rocket has been declared positive to the Equine Infectious Anemia by the use of
an unofficial test
, which often gives false positive results.
The only official test, the Coggin’s one, gave a negative result,
and not just once but twice!
Rocket is a healthy mare
but, despite her owners’ appeals (helped by IHP), she is still under sequestration, sentenced to a lonely life and deprived of the freedom a horse naturally needs.
We ask for the Health Under-Secretary, On. Francesca Marini’s intervention, in order to have the current legislation rules applied, so that Rocket may be able to return to lead a serene life, without those walls and cages that are killing her will to live!
