A Paddock for Luna e Stella: the work starts soon!

The necessary materials for constructing a special paddock for Luna and Stella have finally arrived, and the construction work will start very soon.
pavimentazione di gomma Luna, whose old injuries to the fetlocks of both hind legs, and fractured sesamoids,­ has got worse recently and simply cannot stay in the paddock with the other horses of her group. We couldn’t contemplate just shutting her in a stable forever more, and so she and her companion, Stella – who is completely blind – will soon have a special paddock of approximately 100 sq.m., completely on the level, with a 25cm layer of materials for drainage to eliminate the risk of slipping.
They will have a shelter with rubber flooring, so that Luna has somewhere she can walk and stand without problems. We will keep you up to date with the work – our heartfelt thanks to all our supporters who have so generously donated this living space to Luna and Stella.
