...my treasures do not sparkle they clink,
they shine in the sun and neigh in the night...

LINDA, Germany - July 2021

I am very grateful for the experiences I had at IHP!

First of all, I would like to mention the people who make this wonderful organization possible. Roberta takes care of the volunteers already in advance and in a very touching way! She provided me with all the necessary information and also helped me a lot with the organization of my journey. And although she has more than enough work, she took care of me throughout my stay. As if that weren't enough, even after my stay at IHP has come to an end, she is always at my side to help in word and deed. Thank you! Giulia was my main point of contact when it came to caring for the horses. She does an outstanding job and it has been a lot of fun to work with her. Sonny is a great inspiration to me and I admire him very much for his efforts to create such an organization. Of course, many other great people are involved in this wonderful project and everyone deserves my thanks.

The horses live together in suitable groups and it is very well responded to their individual needs. I would have liked to have stayed even longer and learned more from humans and horses. Every horse can teach us something. Grifo has taught me something very impressively. While I was busy scratching Nina, he came sneaking up from behind and gently touched my leg. When I turned around and realized that he is seeing with his heart (Grifo is blind), I learned something for life. I am especially grateful, that these horses have found a very special home at IHP, while most of them would probably not have survived in the "normal" horse world.  This organization is definitely worth to be supported! Unfortunately, on my trip around the world, I have seen too many rescue centers and volunteer places where it's not about the animals but about money. Quite different here at IHP!
