IHP is a life experience, or better, an experience which changes your life - at least this was my personal experience. I came in knowing almost nothing of how things really are, but over my time there I learned so much.
It’s a place that gives you so much - and it also takes a lot from you as well, but if you manage to understand the real sense behind what you are doing you don’t miss anything, you find a balance which I myself have never had before. I felt happy in my self, thanks to these marvellous animals who express their gratitude in their own special way, and thanks also to the other volunteers and the staff, who I got along with very well, and who helped me to live this experience in a unique way, so that I matured and my cultural wealth grew, because you learn so many things about animals in general, and above all how they should be treated, and how to develop a relationship with them without force and without violence.
In sum, I can say I left my heart at IHP. And I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to know a new reality: that of respect for the horse.
