IHP volunteering is a really wonderful experience, quite unique and absolutely to repeat many times! You learn so much from the people and from the horses themselves. For me the most memorable will be how different these animals are as individuals, and how different they are from human beings. You get to know each one of the horses, and their eye-opening personal stories which force you to look harsh reality in the face, and in a trice you love each and every one of them for a thousand different reasons!
When you wake up in the morning you look forward with pleasure to a hard-working day, and at the end of it you feel enormous satisfaction.
When the time comes to leave IHP and go home, you leave a part of yourself behind with the Association, and you just know you will go back.
