I had my first volunteering experience at Italian Horse Protection and it was very special. It was grateful to see how Sonny, president of the association, is really passionate and expert about horses and takes all the daily tasks – the very simple ones and the most complex - with passion, dedication and real commitment. A life lesson I would say. The horses' needs and communication and the volunteer’s safety it’s a priority. You learn about each horse as an individual, and all care is tailored to their specific needs. I really recommend this experience if you are looking for contact with those magnificent creatures, a beautiful and calm environment to re-connect and relax and the certainty you’re helping a reliable and noble cause in Italy. If you are looking for knowing the area, I recommend you have a car. In my case, I preferred to stay near to horses and relaxing on free time at the place.
