Skaryszew, the antechamber of hell

02/03/2012

(2nd March 2012)

On February the 26th and 27th we went to Skaryszew, a small village in Poland, where every year is held the largest market of horses of that country, most of which are destined for slaughter.

We have documented mistreatment and suffering, to show what happens to the horses bred for the slaughter and to those who “are not useful” anymore.

In 2009 Italy imported nearly 20,000 horses from Poland for slaughter (almost half the total number of horses imported for slaughter): we want to say stop to this.

In a few days we will post a video to tell this trip, in the meanwhile SEE THE PHOTO GALLERY
