IHP is recruiting a candidate to be employed under a regular employment contract for the care of the equids housed at the recovery centres in Montaione (FI) and San Miniato (PI).

Main duties

• Daily management, care and welfare of the equids housed at both centres.
• Administration of hay, feed mashes and basic treatments, in coordination with the association's veterinarian for complex cases.
• Cleaning and tidying of facilities and paddocks.
• Management of supplies and minor routine maintenance.

Essential requirements

• At least two years of verifiable experience in horse management.
• Good physical fitness and ability to move loads of up to 20 kg.
• Own transport required: candidates must be available to travel between the Montaione and San Miniato sites, approximately 30 minutes apart by car.
• In-depth knowledge of IHP's work and full commitment to its ethical mission.
• Strong sense of responsibility, a team-oriented approach and strict compliance with safety procedures. The nature of the role — which involves the management of animals seized under judicial proceedings for mistreatment, as well as subjects testing positive for EIA — requires the ability to adapt to complex behavioural and health situations and a specific sensitivity towards animal welfare.

Terms of employment

• Six days per week, six working hours per day (four hours in the morning, two hours in the afternoon/evening).
• Regular employment contract in compliance with applicable law.
