Italian Horse Protection will have a stand at
RomaCavalli 2011 (7th-10th April)
. We will present our activity as Italy’s only rescue centre for mistreated equines and our many initiatives for the wellbeing of these animals, from the ethologic popularization, to the proposal of new laws, to the reports of abuses.
It will an important occasion for us to confront a world tied to various types of use of the horse, many of them with little respect for the animals, if not downright violent, and to voice the principle a relationship with the equines is plausible only if we have the ability and the willingness to understand their nature. Only then they will be companions and not means for our enjoyment or financial gain.
In order to arrive to this point, a cultural change is necessary, and we want to play a role in it.
IHP’s stand is inside Pavillon 7, number A 15
: come to visit us, to learn more about us, about the stories of the horses we saved (and maybe distance adopt one) and to see what kind of initiatives and events we have scheduled for this year.
We will talk about
Rocket
, the mare unjustly put under sanitary sequestration and obliged to live in a stall since last August: her owners will be there on Saturday and Sunday, to tell you about the battle we are fighting together to free her, and to collect signatures for a petition directed to On. Francesca Martini.
