Donate food to our old horses

21/03/2017

The basic diet of our horses consists of pasture and hay.
Nevertheless, as their age progresses, or during illness, supplementary diet become a very valuable resource, especially for older horses who have chewing problems, or are unable to eat sufficient hay.
For them, we prepare a custom diet, consisting of crock hay and pelleted hay, beet pulp and flaked cereals.
Without these special preparations, our oldies would face a shortage of nutrients essential to stay healthy.

Supplementary food is also given to horses who come to the IHP Rescue Center in a malnourished state.
Given the large number of older horses, or those who have health problems at our Center, the need for these specially prepared meals has gradually increased, and now represents a significant cost for the association.
We request your help, via donations of these special meals for our most needy horses.
Any help, even the smallest, is very important for us and especially for them.
