"The other 23 hours in a horse’s day": meeting with Prof. Jan Ladewig (University of Copenaghen, Denmark)
Return to the list
25/04/2014
Type of event: Meeting
Site: Montaione (FI), Sala del Consiglio Comunale
Hours: 09.30 - 17.00
Cost of participation: 20 euros per person
In yards and livery stables everywhere we are accustomed to seeing horses shut in loose boxes, coming out only to be ridden and trained. But do we ever asked ourselves if this is normal? Or what the consequences are for a horse obliged to spend the majority of its life standing isolated in a very restricted space? Professor Jan LADEWIG will give a talk on the neccessity of improving the quality of life of these horses, for their own welfare and also to make management of their horses easier for owners.
Advance booking is necessary at a cost of € 20 per person.
The meeting will be in English with Italian translation.
