...my treasures do not sparkle they clink,
they shine in the sun and neigh in the night...

Arturo

Arturo is a small pony, arrived here on August 2009 along with the mares Ambra and Brica, after being sequestrated due to mistreatments. The poor animals had been kept inside a very small pen, without enough food and water, and without any chance to find shelter from the sun. Upon his arrival, Arturo was very diffident and it took us a lot of time to win his trust. Now, he’s one of the most sociable and kind animals you could meet here. When he sees a person near his paddock, he immediately walks closer, looking for pats or some scratching. Unfortunately, our little pony suffers from chronic asthma. He will never heal from it, and it obliges us to give him a daily medication in order to help him to breath a bit better.
However, despite his sad past and his illness, Arturo leads a serene life, cared for by IHP volunteers and spoiled by visiting children, because everyone like this sweet, furry guy.
