...my treasures do not sparkle they clink,
they shine in the sun and neigh in the night...

XANTO

Xanto arrived at the Rescue Centre in 2009, just after IHP was born. A supporter of ours, who then would be for some time a member of the board, came to visit us and noticed that we could move around the paddocks only by an old little truck that was close to its end. She did not hesistate to give us her beloved Land Rover, a car that she would never sell after travelling around the world. It was such a generous and appreciated gift! In 2016 a group of friends, lead dy Davide, took Xanto for some weeks and made a complete makeover, adding up our logos, too.
Xanto is a very precious work mate: during these years we have carried a lot of people and stuff; Xanto is also the car that tows our horse trailer, on the rare occasion someone needs to go to a veterinary clinic.
Its name comes from a legend: Balio was one of two immortal and formidable Achilles’ horses. Check out who the other one is… Balio.

We would like to involve you in its maintenance by creating a team of special sponsors, both for Balio and for Xanto: with a minimum contribution of 20 Euro you can become their guardians at a distance for a whole year. This will allow us to keep them in perfect shape and make them work in the best way possible. Of course you are welcome to meet them personally and, unlike the horses, you can also ride them!

You can support us taking care of Balio and Xanto by a Paypal donation here:
