Horse sequestrated in Trequanda: Mary is the first one to find a new family!
Return to the list
29/07/2010
(29th July 2010)
We are happy to give you this nice update about the horses sequestrated in Trequanda (Siena) on 24th and 25th May
(read the article)
. The horses came from a Standarbred horse breeding farm and almost all of them (21) were later
donated to IHP
. Since then, we have been active to find and select families to whom give the horses in adoption. Thanks to the help of many people supporting the IHP project, our appeal has reached the right persons…and we have received several requests by people sharing our same idea about equine welfare, and with enough room to keep some horses.
Mary
, a two-year-old, is one of the youngest horses of the group. She
has been adopted by Harry Tallarita
, his wife Tunde and their little ten-month-old Iris. Moreover, awaiting Mary in her new home, there were also a pair of dogs, a pair of cats (Jaia, Toby, Iside, Silvestro, all of them coming from rescue centers) and, above all, Potty, a beautiful six-year-old mare rescued from a racecourse. Now Mary lives with this new large family, grazing and romping serene in a good sized paddock.
We would like to report here Harry’s words
: “I strongly believe a life is really lived to its fullest when you find joy in your heart, when you know you’ve done an action that brings and harmonious reflex toward those surrounding us. I believe that all the volunteers cannot but smile when they go to bed at night. We thank Sonny, Irene and all the IHP volunteers for the fantastic opportunity my family and I got…and obviously Mary is grateful too! Good life to everyone”.
