Return to the list
I arrived at IHP with the intention of spending my two weeks learning what respect for horses really means, and how to create a relationship with these animals based on equality. I leave with the hope of returning soon, many times. I leave having gained a new family, both four- and two-legged. I leave in great sadness, because when this place welcomes you, it never leaves you again. But I go away having gained so much emotionally, and having learned so very much. It is a place that asks more of you than you thought you had to give, yet at the same time it gives you back much more than you expected. Working and collaborating with others creates a special bond with everyone in the place, both people and horses. It is truly an indefinable experience, but certainly a wonderful one! Thank you, IHP!
