Painting and music for IHP, an important artistic event to be held in Florence

14/12/2012

(14 December 2012)

From December 21nd to 23rd, the charming former Barnabite church in Florence will host an artistic event held in favor of the Italian Horse Protection rescue center.

This unique show has been made possible thanks to the generosity of two artists close to our association, whose striking talents meet for the first time.

Carlo Romiti’s paintings express his passion for horses, depicted running free in his canvasses, painted using Tuscan clays that the artist himself collects and grinds, transforming them into splendid natural colors.

In the background, Andrea Cavallari’s compositions will accompany visitors throughout the visit. His music is now being played in major European cities and in the United States. He has been for many years artistic director of the Accademia San Felice and has recently launched FLAME - Florence Art Music Ensemble, based at the Bargello Museum.

Entrance by donation (suggested offering 5 euro) will go entirely to the association. The Italian Horse Protection works to safeguard and protect horses. It is the first and only rescue centre for abused and confiscated horses in Italy.
