Rocket’s Case: IHP’s fight for her release goes on
Return to the list
07/03/2012
(6th March 2012)
Italian Horse Protection association sent a second
caution to the Mayor of Poli
(after the one sent on 23rd February to the same Mayor and the ASL -local health authority- of Tivoli), announcing a petition to the Public Prosecutor’s Office should they don’t revoke at once Rocket’s sanitary sequestration, which is going on since 7th August 2010.
We remind you that on 14th December 2011, the
Istituto Caporale di Teramo
- the National Reference Centre for Equine Infectious Anaemia - officially declared that the Coggins’ Test (AGID) is the only official reference test to be used to diagnose the positivity to EIA. The Institute also defined “equivocal” the interpretation of the tests’ results made by the City of Poli when the sequestration was ordered.
Thus today a caution signed by Avv. Lanzillotta on behalf of IHP and Mrs. Ceracchi, Rocket’s owner, was sent: if the Mayor and the ASL will carry on with their inactive and indifferent behaviour as they have done so far,
we will ask to Public Prosecutor’s Office to evaluate the possible penal responsibilities
of these Authorities.
