Agreement between IHP and University of Parma

21/07/2011

(2011, July 21st)

On 24th June, an agreement was signed between the University of Parma and Italian Horse Protection association. Thanks to it, the University’s students or graduates will be able to pursue an educational internship with the association, which currently is Italy’s only rescue centre for mistreated equines sequestrated according to the law 189 of 2004.

A specific educational path is planned for each internship, which the student will follow under the supervision of an university’s tutor and an association’s tutor. IHP will host the students free of charge in its own quarters, offering them an extraordinary opportunity to work in close contact with horses living in a semi-wild condition.

This is the second agreement signed by IHP with an university, after the one signed on March 2010 with the University of Pisa, a proof of the association’s increasing credibility, and of the will to carry on the mission about the equines’ welfare starting from scientific knowledge, in order to stimulate a cultural and legislative change.
