A letter from Rocket’s "mom"

25/01/2011

(2011, January 25th)

We receive – and gladly publish – this from Rocket’s owners.

I’m Morena’s Mom—Rocket’s too. Time ago, I wrote an email to my brother-in-law Alfredo, where I expressed my gratitude for everything he has done for Rocket. Not just mine, but also my three daughters’, who know well that without him…

I feel I must express the same gratitude to you, signor Antonio; to IHP as association and to you as person.
What would have been of Morena and me in those hot days in August without my brother-in-law’s prompt action? Above all, what would have been of Rocket?

I have been wondering if seeing that in this house there are only a woman with her three daughters might have led someone to think it was an easily manageable situation, thus leading to minor attention toward the rules. Rules that maybe would have been respected to the dot had the horse belonged to an important breeding farm instead of a housewife. What do you think?

I felt a sensation I never felt before when confronted with the sanitary sequestration; for the first time I thought I couldn’t make it. It looked like too big a thing to face, considering how inapproachable the authorities were. Blessedly, my brother-in-law accepted to take the matter in his hands and contacted you.

So, I can say with absolute conviction that this tale’s “Key Men”, beyond every intervention, past and future in Rocket’s favor, are without any doubt you: Alfredo and Antonio. Without you, we wouldn’t even dream to embark in such a battle. Thus, once again, thank you Alfredo and Antonio, for everything you have done for our beloved Princess Rocket.
