When staying in Tuscany volunteering in IHP was not planned so much in advance. However, like most of the spontaneous decisions in my life this one proved to be the right one as well. On the one hand, the job was demanding, especially the first week till I got used to an early wake up, morning and evening routine and hard physical work (that was also possible thanks to Roberta’s first aid cream, plasters, and morning coffee!). On the other hand, I had a chance to enjoy all those amazing sunrises and sunsets in the company of happy, friendly and respectful horses, each of them with their very own personal character that I will always remember fondly: Hot Topsail and Pioggia and their never-ending energy to steal the food compared to Julia’s generosity to share some, big and majestic Formoso with his small Bambi character, polite and always patient Heroine, Conan’s reserved “don’t touch me” style, Greystone’s need of reassurance, Costanza’s love for the camera, Allegra’s urge to be brushed and pampered, Calippo’s partnership with Stella, Nina’s playfulness, Bardo’s group of adventure seekers, the thistle hair style of Letizia and so on… Altogether  a definitely positive experience of being accepted as a member of the IHP herd ??

Last but not the least I have to express the respect to people who are fully dedicated to IHP and all the work that has been done to make it happen.
