...my treasures do not sparkle they clink,
they shine in the sun and neigh in the night...

All horses have now moved into their new home, and now we are off to Verona

05/11/2014

(5 November 2014)

Yesterday evening saw the completion of the most challenging part of moving to IHP’s new premises, underway for some weeks now: transporting the horses to the new rescue centre. Everything went extremely well, confounding our concerns about the older horses and the delicate state of health of many of our equine residents. Many thanks once again to Marco Pagliai for the use of his horsebox, and for lending his prodigious skills to load, without any coercion, horses who had never seen a horsebox in their lives before.

We are now putting the finishing touches to the paddocks and setting up the infirmary.
Meanwhile our efforts to raise funds to cover the huge costs of this move, and the future of our project, continue: Edoardo Stoppa has published our appeal on his official Facebook page. CLICK HERE to make your contribution!

In addition to the hard work of completing all the work at the new site, we will be present at Fieracavalli in Verona 6 through 9 November, pavilion 6 sharing stand E3 with the Donkey Sanctuary, a space the Veronafiere organisers have allotted to us free, thanks to Nicole Berlusconi’s Project Islander.

At our stand you can find out all about our campaigns, get information about volunteer work with IHP, and shop for clothes and accessories with the IHP logo. On sale also will be the 2015 Calendar, with Ottavia Poli’s stunning photos of some of our rescue horses.
