Special thanks to the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation for their generous donation to IHP, that will help us deal with the COVID-19 emergency. The crisis generated by the lockdown measures across the national territory to prevent the spread of COVID-19 may have troublesome consequences for horses, should their owners face serious financial problems

IHP was very much present during the early stages of the disease by responding to the many requests for clarification from owners on how to continue to take care of their horses while adhering to the prohibitions and restrictions from the Government. Our association is currently monitoring the situation and has already received some requests for help.

The Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation was established in 2000 in memory of Nando Peretti, on the initiative of his daughter Elsa. The Foundation commits its resources mostly to small and specific projects for the benefit of local communities in the following areas: Environmental and Biodiversity Conservation, Social Inclusion and Social Welfare, Education, Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, Health, Arts, and Culture. Over the past eighteen years the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation has awarded grants to more than 1000 projects in 81 countries across the world, for an overall value of 50 million euros.
